Here's some pics of our new master bedroom. The paint color is most like the color in the top picture. Not sure why the colors look different.

TIME.com: The Secret Letter From Iraq -- Page 3

As should not be suprising about most situations, the truth is usually somewhere between the two political extremes. It's usually not as good as the strongest proponents say it is and it's usually not as bad as the most negative nellies make it out to be ... see excerpt from time.com quoted below.

TIME.com: The Secret Letter From Iraq -- Page 3: "Biggest Outrage — Practically anything said by talking heads on TV about the war in Iraq, not that I get to watch much TV. Their thoughts are consistently both grossly simplistic and politically slanted. Biggest Offender: Bill O'Reilly.

Best Chuck Norris Moment — 13 May. Bad Guys arrived at the government center in a small town to kidnap the mayor, since they have a problem with any form of government that does not include regular beheadings and women wearing burqahs. There were seven of them. As they brought the mayor out to put him in a pick-up truck to take him off to be beheaded (on video, as usual), one of the Bad Guys put down his machine gun so that he could tie the mayor's hands. The mayor took the opportunity to pick up the machine gun and drill five of the Bad Guys. The other two ran away. One of the dead Bad Guys was on our top twenty wanted list. Like they say, you can't fight City Hall."

So, how many LSU Tigers does it take to tackle a freshman quarterback? 5, apparently if that quarterback is 6'-5" 250 lbs named Tim Tebow. Right now, UF needs to just put him in the backfield as the half-back and hand the ball to him ... often. He totally flips the game when he goes in.

UF moves up to #2 in one of the polls and #3 in the other. I think that's about right. People may complain that we should be higher, but all will sort itself out if UF mauls Auburn and Georgia in the next 3 weeks.

I still can't believe that WVU is ranked so high and even got 2 votes for #1!!! Who are those two idiots? Sure, they're 5-0, but they still haven't played a conference game. Plus, their conference is the Big (L)east. There's only one team on their schedule worth a flip and that's Louisville. They're all proud about their most recent win -- against an SEC team. "See, we're good. We even beat an SEC team." Well, if you look more closely, you see that it was Miss St. Woeful Miss State. Now, if WVU can beat UGA, UT, AU, LSU and UF, THEN and only then, do they deserve a first place vote. (photo from ESPN.com)

Gators down Tide

Just finished watching the Gators down the Crimson Tide of Alabama. That was one sweet win. Another slow start and strong defensive finish. The season is starting to take shape. Now, if we can only survive the next 3 games (LSU, Auburn, UGA), we'll really have a season to talk about. Dallas Baker is a stud. Dig those '66/'67 "throwback" uniforms? It's to commemorate our 100th year of football. (Photos from ESPN.com)

Can't Quite Get the Formatting

I've been playing with the banner arrangement at the top of the page. For some reason, I can't quite get it looking right. Have to keep working on it.

Finally

Well, I finally updated this page. I added links to some other pages over on the right. We're in the middle of remodeling yet again. This time it's the master bedroom, den, and upstairs hallway. I'll post some pics as it progresses.

XBox 360

You can see we've got an XBox 360 now. Nice piece of hardware. We're currently addicted to the Pop Cap game "Zuma" ... Seems a shame, right? Kameo is also surprisingly fun. Gotham Racing 3 is also addictive -- and gorgeous.

Finished remodeling

We've finished our 2005 remodeling project. The floors and walls are all done. Just in time for the holidays. We're pretty happy with the results. I'd recommend "Floors USA" if you need floors done. I had the estimate and the crew came to do the install within one week and finished the job in one day of work onsite. Thoroughly satisfied. It's like a whole new house.

Home Remodeling

We're nearly done with our home remodeling for this year. Last year was the kitchen. The year before was the guest room. This year is the downstairs hall, bath, and foyer plus new floors for those rooms and the kitchen. We should be done before Thanksgiving.
